rchua, have a look just around your post as there have been queries about hostels in many of the cities you're going to in the last day or so. Especially, pretravel.proboards1.com/index.cgi?board=Accommodation&action=display&n=1&thread=6674. For the others: Lyon - there are two youth hostels: one in the old town and one in the south of the city. The website for both is www.hihostels.com/dba/list.php?lang=E. Otherwise, you could go with suggestions on www.hostelworld.com/findabed.php/ChosenCity.Lyon/ChosenCountry.France. Frankfurt - there are lots of budget hotels around the city train station area, try Intercity Hotel Frankfurt. Marseille - try to stay around the old port (Vieux Port) as it's a nicer area in what can be a dodgy town. (PS, there are flights from Marseille to Madrid with Ryanair) Barcelona & Madrid I'll leave for Herrbert & David, athough Kabul Hostel just off the Ramblas is recommended often on the boards. Depending on why you're going to Frankfurt, or rather how (flying or train), you might look at staying in Mainz if you're flying for ease of access to the airports. And a note about Paris, as you've been there before, try the Segway tours. Eagle went on one last year and recommended them as an alternative way to see Paris.
