does anyone have any ideas or experiences with hostels or hotels in Cordoba? Hopefully a place with doubles, as we are 2 people traveling together.

Don't have any recommendations, as I've never visited. Have you checked hostel booking engines for listings, Tripadvisor, etc.? Maybe this board? |

Cordoba has not a lot of budgetaccommodation but the good news is that it is only a 45 minutes train-ride from Sevilla (by AVE), so you could do it as daytrip.
