hi again. so here is my hostel list, we´ve chosen 3 for each city, can you tell me if any of you have stayed there if the location is good, and if they are clean and nice? or if you have another suggestion please tell me. we are three women.

most of these have good reviews in this site, in tripadvisor and hostelworld, but we dont know if locations are good.

Berlin: I stayed at the Circus at the beginning of 2006, and I would probably use it agian if I would Berlin somewhere in the future. It is located in the former Eastern part of town (Sovjet sector) which makes it a cheaper part of town, as it comes to dinners etc. On the other side of the street is a metro station, so that makes it easy to go anywhere in the city, also the tram-station is just outside the door. I also walked to the Alexanderplatz, and into the Museum Insel from the hostel. I always enjoy walking in a city as you see much more, than when you only move with the underground.

One place I really enjoyed in Berlin, and which is in walking distance (or just 2 or 3 tram stops) away is the Kulturbrauerei (also refered to as the Kesselhaus or Machinenhaus). This is an old brewery, which now has a stage for live-music, and some other bars and restaurants, that have to do with performing arts. The price of the breakfast at the Circus is imo a bit too high. If you want you can get bread in a lot of stores in the city, check out shops, called Kamps (you will find backeries everywhere in Berlin).

btw: I also heared some good things about a hostel called Mitte in Berlin, but I haven't stayed there myself.

For a little more comfort and privacy, you could try a place at the Pension Kraml in Vienna. A room for three people would cost 84, but that includes a breakfast buffet. It's not the most trendy place, but it's close to two Metrostations (Pilgramgasse and Maria Hilferstrasse). www.pensionkraml.at/HTM/preise.html. virgicin, will try to answer some of your questions, but I haven't stayed at many of the places you've listed.

Barcelona
Itaca Hostel - great location (hence the prices); Centric Point Hostel - a good location, not sure about the actual hostel in terms of cleanliness, etc. Kabul Hostel is another favourite on these Boards.

Paris
Hotel du Champ de Mars - not familiar with this one, but great location (in the 7th district, 5mins walk to Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysees, 10mins to Rodins Gardens and Eglise du Dome); another place to look at is Hotel Esmeralda, Paris - 4 rue St-Julien-le-Pauvre 75005 (Latin quarter)

Bruges
B&Bs are a good choice for Brugge/Bruges, as long as neither is too far out from the city centre Domo Togan looks to be a far way out), you'll be fine. The train station is a long walk to the city centre, however. Have a look at B&B Marieke users.skynet.be/marieke/

Berlin
I second herrbert about Circus - great location and is the best out of all on your list.

Prague
Sir Toby and Hostel Rosemary are not directly in centre of Prague but the Metro system in Prague is good and Sir Toby is near to one of the main train stations in the city (with Metro connections) and would only be about 4 to 5 stops to the Old Town.

Vienna
Wombats (either one) would be a great choice. Otherwise herrbert's rPension ecommendations are great too.

Budapest
I'm not familiar with any of the ones you've listed so can't help on that one. I've heard lots of good things about The Goat Hostel and it is within walking distance to the centre centre, plus there is a good transport system in the city.
