Also in town is the Chalice Well....which we also went to see where the Knight/Saint purportedly hid the Holy Grail. That was wonderfully well done, beautiful grounds and of course folks flock there to drink of the 'holy' waters of the well....which are reddish colored for real (supposedly because of theblood of Christ....ore likely coz there is a ton of iron in it!) and tastes like plain old Indiana well water! And that brings me to the town......it is a time machine indeed my friends. This is Haight Asbury of the 60's reincarnated! I have not seen so many Celtic/Druid/Runes/Earth Goddess crap in I don't know when! And nothing but vegetarian/pure earth shops. It was a hoot!
And the folks walking the streets....I laughed out loud. Think of 1968 fashions of the 'hippies' and here it is! BWAHAHAHA! I loved it!
And as I said to begin, this morning I took the train to Penzance, far south west corner. It is one nasty day, raining, dreary, windy. But suprisingly mild never the less here. There are palm trees all over the place! Owing to the
ocean tides it stays relatively mild here year round. Tomorrow and the next couple of days will explore this area and then on Sunday will be moving along again. To where? I don't know yet. Heading up towards Wales, but where I will 'base' out of next I am undecided. Going to get out to Lands End, the western most point of England while here. Very barren coast I am told. I was at Land's End in Portugal, so thought I ought to go to this one as well.
Hope you are all well,
ging
