A news item today indicates that Italy's "Unabomber" has struck again in the Venice area. An individual walking along a beach picked up a bottle that appeared to contain a note. The bottle exploded, causing severe damage to at least one of his hands.
Other news reports indicate that the so-called "Italian Unabomber" has been suspected in over 30 similar crimes over the last few years, injuring a number of people including children.

I wasn't aware this sort of thing was happening in Italy, but thought it would be prudent to warn our members (especially those travelling in the north eastern part of the country).
