just read an article about this report, Will the eurozone crack?, by London's "Centre for European Reform." scary stuff. these Brits suggest that, due to Italy's budget-busting spending, and Germany's lack of an internal market for its goods, the eurozone could fall apart - eventually leading to EU itself dissolving. it sounds rather far fetched to me, but the prospect is alarming.

I think it's one of those hypothetical possibilities. Sure, it could happen in theory, but I doubt it would happen in reality.
The inclusion of Bulgaria and Romania into the EU are far more pressing issues at the moment. The UK has learnt its mistake from Poland etc, so they're looking to restrict working rights for the new member states. Even so, I can see these countries being a drain on the EU (and more specifically, the more Economically developed states) for quite a few years to come.
