Great tips - good to see references to Santa Maria del Popolo church becoming more frequent too as it's worth the visit. They also have Culture Week in Italy (and may other countries in Europe) when places not usually open to the public offer access for a week. I think, WT, you placed a link for this earlier as it was in first week of April? It's worth looking on www.whatsonwhen.com for the time you intend to travel to places to see what's on offer as the Culture Weeks in other countries are at different times of the year.
