Had a great vacation and sad that it is going to end in the morning. After a sleepless night at the aforementioned hotel, I got up at 6am the next morning while Jamie was sleeping and got us a room at a much nicer hotel that I had stayed at before with my mother. I just couldnt take the waste water from other peoples rooms coming into our sink. They would only allow us to use the shower between 8am and 7pm, which I thought was a little difficult, and it cost 3Euro. Really enjoying a nicer hotel with a clean, private bathroom. I think my ultrabudget days are over. Have I turned into the Ugly American?
Yesterday we saw the Picasso, then checked into the new hotel for a much needed shower, then climbed the tower at Notre Dame and the Arc de Triomphe. Today we took a great tour of Montmartre, and then relaxed on a grassy patch below Sacre Coeur and had a picnic lunch. Funny that my favorite part of this trip was something as simple as a picnic on a nice day with a great view, and of course being with someone that I love.
We are tired and looking forward to home. We have had a great vacation, and I am sorry that it is almost over. I can look forward to making a scrapbook and planning the next trip.
