Hello all!
We're in London, home of the queen, Parliament, train strikes and many, many tourists. But we're having fun here in the capital of Britain. And we've experienced two of the best days of weather ever!!!! Tomorrow it should get down to the 50's, but today everyone's out in the parks, sunning like there's no tomorrow (well, they can't do it tomorrow....)
We left Edinburgh yesterday, had a great time. Took a little day tour to Glasgow to see some architecture. I was led around the city by Rob and we enjoyed ourselves. We saw the Glasgow School of Art designed by someone names Mackintosh? I thought he invented the computer? haha...
In Edinburgh, we had to see the Castle, as well as the Palace of Holyroodhouse and the Britannia, the Queen's yacht. I was very happy as there was a small Faberge exhibit at the Palace, and Rob enjoyed looking at the ship's engine at the Britannia. Something for everyone!!!
This being Easter weekend, there are many tourists and many closures of museums on Good Friday. We're a little confused as to why places would be closed on Good Friday versus Easter, but we're rolling with the punches. On Thursday, there was a huge rail strike. Luckily, our route was not affected! But we did see many a stranded tourist on our train route.
Tonight we're going to see the Reduced Shakespeare's Company's play that's called something like the Abridged Shakespeare? Supposedly very funny.
