This is definitely a time to do carry-on only, if you are stuck using this terminal.
Last I heard, BA had managed to lose 28,000 bags since the terminal opened.

T5 is in chaos.
Bags are all over the airport (and world in some cases). The number Will quoted is not an exageration it is thousands of bags lost and tens of flights cancelled each day. If you are due to use this terminal in the next few weeks check your flight is still on before leaving for the airport. Lots of grumpy passengers are sleeping at T5.
BA executives were patted themselves on the back and giving themselves pay rises before the opening they are strangly quiet now!
