I know that passport, money and important paper are 24/7 carried with us, even in sleep. So what for the camera? especially those who have really expensive one?? Like important papers, passport and money can be easily taken to the shower booth in a Zip-Lock?? However, camera`s are more sentitive to the temp and water. So put it in the lockers? or other options are ??
What about people who has lenses?? too much stuff into the shower booth...

MIKKA, if you have a small "point & shoot" style of Camera, you could also place this in a Zip-Lok bag and take to the shower. The temperature and humidity shouldn't affect the Camera if it's inside a plastic bag. However, for larger Cameras with lenses this could be a problem.
The easiest solution is probably just to secure the Camera and Lenses inside a Locker in your Hostel room (make sure you take a good quality Padlock with you). If no Lockers are provided you could either:
> take the Camera & Lenses to the shower, using a really BIG Zip-Lok bag. > Lock the Camera & Lenses inside your Backpack. > Leave the Camera & Lenses at the Hostel reception desk while you're taking a shower.
You would probably be fine by locking your gear either in a Locker or in the Backpack. However, probably not a good idea to show-off expensive Camera gear to other guests in the Hostel. If they don't know it's there, they won't be inclined to steal it!
Hope this is some help. Happy travels!!!
