This is my second night here. Yesterday I had a long travel day from Rovinj in Croatia to Ljubljana. 2.5 hours by bus to Koper, and another 2.5 hours to Ljubljana. If you have a car you will do it in half that time...
I was 3 days in Rovinj. One day I had a boat trip around the islands near Rovinj, and to the so-called Lim Fjord. The Norwegians should file a protest for using the term "fjord" for this... waste of time and money if you ask me...
Another day I went to Pula. The main attractions there are the Roman monuments, including almost complete amphitheatre - the 2nd largest in the world, if I recall correctly...
After that I went to Svetivincenat, a small town in Istria where Lily Neumann, an aunt of my mother, is buried. She was killed in a battle as a partizan in WW2. I found the cemetery but not the grave... what a disapointment ... to get back to Rovinj I had to go via Pula again...
Yesterday afternoon and all day today I visited jubljana. It's a small capital of a small country, but very lovely...
Tomorrow I plan to take the train to Divaca and walk to Skocjan cave. It is supposed to be 5 KM from Divaca by road...
A day later I intend to travel to Bled and stay there probably 2 nights, then back to Zagreb and fly to Budapest on Thursday...
There's one week left...
