I got half an hour to wait for the bus to Bled, so I thought I could use it to send a quick message...
As said above, I'm on my way to Bled, a lake-side town in north-west Slovenia, in the Julian Alp range. I will stay there 2 nights and explore that part of Slovenia, before starting to move towards home... first to Zagreb on Wednesday, the next day fly to Budapest for the last 3 days...
Yesterday I had a day trip from Ljubljana to Skocianske Jama, a Unesco-list park in south-west Slovenia. There are many caves in this region, whose name - Karst - has given the name to this natural phenomena. To get to Skocian, I took the train from Ljubljana to Divaca - 1.5 hour journey (my first rail journey this trip, BTW), then walked about an hour to the cave. The tour in the cave is only 3 times a day this time of year, but from June to September there are tours almost every hour. The last part of the route goes high above the river Reka that flows into the cave and dissapears in the ground, to be reapear in Italy. This is what makes this cave stand out of the rest.
