Hi all - We've moved on from Venice, hit Lake Como and now we're in the Cinque Terre. We're having a great time in Italy, loving the weather, food and ambience. Venice was alot of fun. Sure, as Rob kept saying, it's a little like Disneyland, and there are a ton of tourists, but where else are you going to find a city with no cars and boats everywhere? And where there's lots to explore and see and english spoken? We really enjoyed the pace of the city and especially exploring at night. It's very romantic too, as everyone's heard. We did all the normal sites, and went into some amazing churches where the original artwork still remains - really great to experience. We stayed at a hostel on Lake Como, in Menaggio. The hostel was great, we met alot of nice people and RELAXED!!!!! The area is incredibly beautiful. We made a quick day trip into Milan and were overwhelmed being in a big city again. But we saw the Last Supper, ate gelato and bought some books - I was extremely happy! Now we're in Cinque Terre, along the coast, staying at another hostel. This is another amazing beautiful place - visit here if you can (but there are lots of tourists here too!). Miss everyone - we've definitely reached our groove in traveling, things are so much easier now and we haven't missed tv or movies or mexican food in a bit. (Hey - it's Rob's birthday on wednesday - please send as many emails as you can!!!!) Love, Mari and Rob
