Me and a friend will be in Dublin for St Patty's day and just wondering if anyone had any tips or advice on where the best places to be are. Also, are there any other big holidays or events going on in March or April in Europe that are worth going to?

Welcome calimatt! St Patrick's Day (St Paddy!) in Dublin, or in Ireland for that matter, is fantastically huge and excessive! Everywhere in Dublin will be heaving so wherever you chose will be the best place. Have a look on either www.visitdublin.com or www.dublin.ie and check the links and info about St Patrick's Day. There's a great parade and lots of people, but you can't go wrong if you're in the Temple Bar area if it's people, Guinness and diddly-dee music you're looking for. Have a look at www.stpatricksday.ie/cms/ for information, although I don't think they've put in next year's dates yet. March and April in Europe are the start of Spring, so there are a lot of festivals and events on in every country to mark the start of the warmth. Check out www.whatsonwhen.com/pages/europe.jml and plug int he countries and dates you want to research. I've been a big fan of this site for many years, and GFE also quotes it on the Home page. Slainte! ;D
