hi everybody,
i just wanted to drop a quick note and let ya know that jay and i are now in london. london's cool, i like the flava - and i'm enjoying the accent...in fact i find myself sometimes slipping into the british accent because that's what i've been hearing the past 48 hours. it's very easy to get around with the metro and everything is quite concentrated - especially the city center.
the one gripe i do have is that everything is so PRICEY! the exchange is nearly 2 USD to 1 GBP. so we are trying to do our best to pinch our pennies. tomorrow is our last day before departing for paris - where the Euro is nearly the same as the USD.
our hostel is alright - it's at Picadilly Circus which is quite central to everything. The staff here is really friendly and we've already roomed with two women from Italy (venice area) and greece (athens). our roommates today and tomorrow are two guys from pittsburgh who are at the end of their trip.
i like london and will hopefully visit it again some day, but will need to be a little richer to deal with this conversion rate! i have loads to say - i've written over three pages in my journal..but have yet to put up in my online diary. i hope all is well...and i'll send my next update when i'm in paris.
