Hey!
I've revised my budget, and I'd be more comfortable if I were to remove 2 or three days off my itinerary.
Berlin: 4 (circus) Amsterdam: 3 (flying pig. yes, exactly) Paris: 5 (peace and love) Barcelona: 5 (kabul)
These are the cities where i'll be staying in hostels. I'm thinking... If i make Paris and Barcelona 4 days each, would that be fine? Or are they worht 5 days?
I'll also be staying in other places, but i have friends i those so i wont be removing them.
thanks!

you could prolly drop a day in Barcelona & still see the sights. as i've never been to Paris (other places hold more allure) i can't advise there.
i stayed at Kabul, too. but others here suggest that other places are better. to me, Kabul's big advantage is its location, right off Las Rambla - a big tourist road (watch out for pickpockets!), near the harbor.

At least remove one of the days in Barcelona.
For the other day it's a toss between Amsterdam and Paris, it also depends on what your plans are in both cities. If your gonna fly Berlin-Amsterdam, and you want to see, the city (walking), and one of the museums, and the Anne Frank House, then I think 2 days will do. If you just want to see some of the sight from the outside, you can also see a lot of buildings and stuff, by getting on a tram, that passes most of them.
You need about 4 hours to get to Paris, so you'll lose half a day already, so I am not sure about skipping one day in Paris, as you would be left with 3,5 days.

Unless you get the very early Thalys from Amsterdam to Paris, Herrbert's point about 4hrs out of your day is valid. You could do:
Berlin: 4 Amsterdam: 2 Paris:4-5 Barcelona: 3
and still see a good chunk of each city. The thing about Paris is that if you decide on 4 days, don't count on being able to fit a trip out to Versailles in as you may find you're too busy in the city to spare the time going out for a half-day even. Up to you, and of course it's easier to decide that once you're in Paris, but just remember this point before you set your heart on Versailles. The only other placed I'd suggest (very hesitantly, might I add) removing a day is Berlin, but I can't recall your itinerary exactly (ie to you fly in here to start?) so if you are flying in here remember to allow for jet lag. If not, up to you what you do with it. Hopefully this gives you something to work with.

I'm flying in to Berlin from Beirut, so there's no jet lag really. It's just a 2-hour time difference. I think this'll do. I realized that even though I was primarily going to amsterdam for the fun and whatnot, the flying pig hostel is the most expensive one, at aroung 44 dollars a night. So that's out. I still have a third day to spend there, so it's not a complete loss. I need to see Versailles, so it has to be 5 days in Paris. This is probably going to be it. If i end up feeling that it's all too brief, I'll just revert back to my original plan...bcs this is my last summer before medical school, and i REALLY want to milk it as much as i can This'll be fine i think: Berlin: 4 Amsterdam: 2 Paris: 5 Barcelona: 4 thanks for all your input!
