dizzyfreedom, one thing to mention - if you haven't bought your Rail pass yet, you can purchase Eurail passes via the home page of this web site. The cost is the same as elsewhere, and it helps to support our efforts here.
Wasn't sure if you were aware of that option?

Eagle, Thank you for the insight. I am planning more days in Venice because we are staying with friends there. I love the ALbergo Bernini you suggested in Siena.
Do you all recommend staying in Siena and then taking day trips to Pisa, Florence, etc... Or should we stay in Florence?

If you can stay in both Florence and Siena then do that. Trying to see Florence in a day is not a good idea, plus Pisa is the other side of Florence to Siena, so you'd be back and forth on the train, which is a bit pointless.
