21 Day Summer Trip- Need Help Planning!

We haven't finalized an itinerary yet! Ive just been taking in everything from all these messages. This is what we know for sure! We both have been to Paris and London so those are not top destinations! We have already bought plane tickets flying into London and leaving London. The only reason was because of the extremely cheap ticket ($485) from Arkansas and I have a family friend who lives in Avesbury who is going to take us around England and show us everything else besides London. Other than this, we do not have anything finalized. We are going to meet up sometime this week and get everything pretty much finalized so we can go ahead and buy plane tickets or train tickets if and when needed.

These are the destinations top on my list:
Barcelona- My family is spanish from Santander so I really want to go to Spain on this trip and everyone including my family has told me Barcelona is their top choice
Rome- everyone on here has said its their top Italian city
Prague- both of us really want to go here!
Munich- I really want to spend a few days in here then see some of the towns in the Bavarrian Alps for a day or two
Amsterdam- another place that we both really want to go to

Destinations still considering:
Berlin
Switzerland (Bern or Gimmelwald)
Florence
Madrid

We plan on spending around three days in each city. We are wanting to do a lot of sightseeing and venturing throughout the cities. We also want to go to some of the museums but not all of them. Mainly, we are just wanting to do as much as we can and have as much fun in three days in every city. From looking at the cities on my top list, it looks like we can add at least one more city to the top 5. That will give us 6 cities in approx. 23 days.

After looking at plane tickets, I am pretty sure we aren't going to buy a Eurail pass and we are going to do a mix of mainly flights and a few train rides.

Three days will be OK for these cities, except for Rome, there is too much to see, so you will need to at least add one extra day, and if you are planning to see Pompeii, another one. So either 4 or 5.

For Munich: Are considering to see the Castles near Füssen? because if you do, you might want to consider staying there for one night. That give you the chance to see some of the smaller places as well.

If you are interested, RyanAir flies Rome - Santander, and you could continue to Barcelona with Iberia (60 euros), or by train (check. www.renfe.es. Or if you plan to go to Barcelona first, the other way round. (fly with Iberia to Santander, and Ryanair to travel to Rome).

Out of the four cities you have left, I think that Switzerland should be skipped, for logistic reasons. The other three would all be a good choice. I could imagine, that if you would go to Santander, it would also be a good idea to spend some time in San Sebastian.
