So, I am a first time traveler going to Europe! I am going Sept 15-30 and have narrowed it down to the following 2 itineraries and would appreciate anyone's suggestions or comments to help me out!!! I'm very indecisive, as I want to see sooo much, but not enough time!!!! I am trying to work Munich in b/c of Oktoberfest.

I would prefer the first option, but with one day more in Rome, and one less in Munich. If you reach Munich during the Oktoberfest, you will find that you need to have bookings well in advance, and that rooms cost a lot during the fest. If that puts you off, you could go: London - Barcelona - Rome - Berlin, but that would mean traveling everything by plane. So booking tickets well in advance. (check www.flightassistent.com or http://www.whichbudget). Even if you keep munich, I would suggest looking at planetickets. The second option, with 5 cities, looks toi rushed. Also note that even when you arrive early in London, you need to adjust to European time. So I am not sure how much you will be able to see the first day. (at least try to sleep the last couple of hours on the plane.) I am presuming you are coming from the US/Canada, but your profile doesn't tell.

Thanks Herrbert!!! What do you think about Amsterdam? If I took Munich off - would you suggest going to Amsterdam or Barcelona?? I have entertained that idea too.

Either of your Itineraries would probably work, however like herrbert I tend to prefer #1. I suppose which one you choose will depend to some extent on the availability of flights home from your final destination.
It's difficult to say whether you should drop Munich in favour of Amsterdam? This will depend on what you most want to see in each city. If you want to visit the Castles or tour Dachau, then Munich would be a good choice. Whether to choose Amsterdam or Barcelona is again dependent on what you most want to see and do?
With regards to going to OKtoberFest, someone suggested in another Post that even if you can't find accomodation at that time, you might be able to stay in a nearby city and travel to Munich for "day trips".
Good luck with your planning!!!

Personaly I would prefer Barcelona, and I think September is a perfect time to visit Spain anyway. If you do, check Vueling for cheap tickets to Rome. But like Eagle says, it's all about your interests.
