I'm planning on buying a new pack for my next trip. I've found that Eagle Creek is well regarded on this site and others. Well I've been doing some online shopping and came across the Continental Journey on REI.com selling for $149.93 and I checked out Ebags.com which is linked from this site and they have it for $195. However the Continental Journey pack on REI site list the size as being 3900 total cubic inches and the CJ on Ebags.com is listed as 4250 total cubic inches. Does anyone know if Eagle creek redesigned this pack or is it that one of these retailers have the wrong info for it? Thanks

I recently noticed the newer Continental Journey Packs on the REI website (including a women's model). I've been told that these models were specially designed for REI, and are slightly different than the other CJ Packs made by Eagle Creek (I believe that all CJ Packs are the same size however). The Daypack especially has a slightly different appearance. They have also added a "security wire" to the REI models, to allow the pack to be locked to a secure object (I suspect this feature will be added to all CJ models eventually). I use a CJ Pack and have been really pleased with it so far. Make sure you check your torso size however, as I believe the fixed-harness used in this pack is intended for a range of 15" - 21". If you have any specific questions, send an E-mail to Eagle Creek. I found them to be very helpful when I was researching information for purchasing my Pack. Hope this helps. Happy travels!!!
