27 days left to go!!!

So, in an effort to update everyone while in Paris I have decided to create a BLOG. Hopefully this webpage will soon be filled with details of my many adventures!
I know I have yet to leave but I thought I would write about the process of getting prepared. Needless to say the amount of paperwork, research, translations, and other things I have had to do have been an absolute nightmare. Never in my life did I imagine that this trip would be so much work. I don't know if it's because the French seem to have an absolute love of bureaucracy or because I've had to do everything myself -- but it's been nothing if not daunting. To be honest it kind of makes me wish for the days when my parents used to take care of everything for me.
As it stands right now I leave on the evening of the 12th of August and arrive in Paris the morning of the 13th. Then I spend the 13th and 14th getting my residency permit in order before taking off to Geneva. Here is where things get exciting!!!
Mohammad and I will spend the next couple of weeks travelling around Europe. First I'll arrive in Geneva and get to see where he has spent these last couple of months. I'm looking forward to seeing the city, the surrounding towns/mountains, and seeing CERN. For those of you who don't know CERN is the European Centre for Nuclear Research -- where Mohammad has been working this summer.
After our time in Geneva we head off to a tiny Swiss mountain village called Gimmelwald. Followed by about 5 days in Florence and then a quick stop in Geneva (to pick up Mohammad's luggage) before heading to Paris to spend the last 8 days of our trip.
It should be fantastic!! I've never been to Europe and I'm looking forward to the entire experience!!!
