Getting from Paris to Italy

Okay so I posted my full itinerary already, now I am just working out the kinks.

I had originally planned Paris-Venice-La Spezia by train. When I look at the train possibilities, it isn't looking good. It is a 18+ ride with 2 changes.

So air looks best...I am just worried of having too many flights. Is saving time worth the hassle and worry (of losing luggage) of getting to and from airports?

Never mind...I figured it out! I found a train on raileurope's site that is direct from Paris Bercy at 19:00 to Venice. Perfect!
