Do you have roundtrip tickets for Berlin? If not, you might get an open-jaw ticket for Berlin and Amsterdam, if that's available for a good price. Otherwise, it looks great. Maybe EasyJet is a possibility for Rome to Paris also? For Paris to Amsterdam by train, I buy tickets at voyages-sncf.com . You have to keep your country as France, and choose the self-print option. The tickets become available about three months in advance. Often it's cheaper to buy a roundtrip ticket than a one-way. Munich to Venice by train - you may be able to get a deal at www.bahn.de . I think they have specials starting 3 months out also. Venice to Rome by train - Amica fares are cheaper than the walkup fares (which is not so bad either). You can buy Amica fares online 60 days in advance, and they're available while supplies last until midnight the night before, but I'd expect them to sell out fairly quickly in May. Amsterdam to Berlin - again you can typically get a cheap ticket at www.bahn.de or maybe at www.ns.nl if you look 3 months in advance.

13- Munich (to Venice by train) 14- Venice a day stop in Innsbruck for a few hours between these two might be an option here; no? your trip seems heavy on bigger cities. - d

Three things: 1. Fly with Vueling from Rome to Paris. Ryanair actually flies to Beauvais, which is rather far from Paris. Don't bother with shuttles that may or may not show up on time. Since the price difference isn't large, fly into CDG instead. The airport is connected to Paris via the RER B, making it super-easy to travel to the city. 2. I wouldn't recommend visiting Versailles since you are spending two full days in Paris. It would subtract a day from your time in the city itself. Exception: seeing the gardens (LOVELY!) only takes a half day. Visit the gardens on your next-to-last day there. (That way, you already have a general idea of the city but are not rushing to your next destination.) 3. Since the SNCF website is in the middle of remodeling their international sections, book Paris-Amsterdam with Thalys instead. Follow the same procedures: book as close to 3 months in advance as possible (Feb 23-24), otherwise your trip will be needlessly expensive. Keep France as the country of collection. Click "Advanced Options" to select "Youths" in the passenger field if you are under 26 years old. Look for MINI fares, only 25E instead of the regular ~100E. They are nonrefundable and nonexchangeable. Decline the insurance. You may print the tickets out at home.

I visited Versailles half a day. We did take an early train out to ensure that we'd be there at opening time and we already had passes so we didn't have to wait in line (I believe it was the Paris Museum Pass). However, it was so crowded and nightmarish inside that it was so over-whelming that we booked it back to the city around noon, 1 PM.
That didn't include a visit to the gardens though. So I am not sure how long that takes!

Ohh okay, PONR. I guess I was actually thinking of the time it takes to visit the entire grounds. The crowds look nightmarish when I was there as well Hopefully mcfish will have better luck

mcfish123, your Itinerary looks good! It looks like quite an efficient route.
However, I have to agree with WT that using open-jaw tickets and flying home from Amsterdam would be far better and more efficient! It would also give you perhaps one extra day for touring in one of the cities, rather than wasting the day on a train ride back to Berlin
May is not far off. Happy travels!!!

If an open jaw ticket is not an option, you could also fly to Berlin (check Transavia.com)
And I agree with Francefiend, check out Vueling (36 or 56 euros) or Easyjet (39 euros) for the flight to Paris.
