I can't say I'm too surprised here. I am sort of curious about the Colombia guidebook, though, where he never visited.

W.T. very interesting! I've always had the impression that Lonely Planet was very accurate with the information in their Guidebooks.

It's interesting that L.P. wasn't able to find any "innaccuracies" in the material that he wrote. It seems like the "chick" he was dating from the Embassy gave him some good, solid information.
