Oh what a brutal awakening, my nose is blocked but running, I keep coughing and sneezing.... So after bruising my nose with harsh toilet paper (its somehow impossible to find soft white paper, I'd kill for White Swan!) I got my stuff ready, hung around a little at the hostel, went to the tourist info center for 2 free postcards, went to the train station.
I went through really nice landscapes on the way to Passau but I got there half an hour late. Carolin and Michael were still waiting for me. We went to St Stephan church, the Old Town Hall, walked along the Danube to the Dreifluseck (unbelievably nice, youuuuuuuu muuuuuuust see this how the 3 rivers come into one!) This city is really little but so beautiful. Worth the detour! Caro and Michael were my personal guides and they were great. They drove me everywhere. We went up to Mariahilf, great view of the city! Hard to think that pilgrams walk up hundreds of stairs praying on each one! Then we went over to Austria just for a look! Yup the great thing about this is the way its right across from Austria! Beautiful little mountains and valleys, the view is breathtaking!
I then met Caro's parents, they are really great. Everyone was so welcoming to me! We had a Bavarian supper, brussel sprouts, potatoes, some type of german turnip, and Leberkase, a typical meat. As you know I'm not a great meat lover, but it was actually pretty good!
We talked for a few hours, went to the shower, had some technical problems cause here in Europe shower curtains arent common, then I went to bed!
