Ok, I'm having issues finding a pack that has everything that I want in it. I want a good pack that isn't going to kill my back. the other two things that are important to me are an attached day pack and zippers that can be locked. most of the "hiking" packs i'm finding have roll top closures that can't really be locked and don't have day packs. I found this bag on a UK site, but I can't really find any reviews or much information. since I won't be able to go look at in a store I wanted to get some opinions, what do yall think of it, and do you know if the brand is reliable? www.gear-zone.co.uk/eshop/Haglofs-Hub-55+10.html

hannah87, I'm not familiar with the Pack shown in your link, so can't offer any comments. I couldn't tell from your Profile where you're located, but I'm assuming from the link that you're in the U.K.? You might have a look at Eagle Creek Backpacks. They have a fairly good selection of various size Packs, and most have the features you mentioned. Have a look at www.eaglecreek.com/store_locator/search_results.php?searchType=international&country=United+Kingdom for a listing of dealers in the U.K. Hope this helps. Cheers!

I'm actually in Texas, which is why I'm having the problem. I can't find much information on the brand and they don't sell it in the U.S. I just happened to be searching U.K. sites and the bag caught my eye. thanks for the link, I will check those out.

hannah87, wow, that was a quick reply! Thanks for the clarification on your location. It should be relatively easy for you to find a retailer in your area. Have a look at www.eaglecreek.com/store_locator/search_results.php?state=TX for details. Whichever Backpack you choose, it's very important that you're properly fitted according to your torso length. Any competent sales person should be able to measure that for you. Check other posts in the packing section, as one of our members posted a link to a very helpful video that describes torso length. Another feature that I like with my Eagle Creek Backpack is the "stowable harness", so the straps aren't torn-off by airport baggage handling equipment. Good luck and happy travels with your new Pack!

I'm near Dallas. The problem isn't really finding a store, I have been to some stores that sell packs and have seen a lot of options. The question I'm asking about is that particular bag in the link up above. it is a bag that is only sold in europe, but I really liked the features and the design so I wanted to see if I could get some input on it.

the price of that bag was quoted in pounds! It seems like a lot of money for a pack, when considering the dollar exchange rate.
