Hi,
what do you recon is the most thrilling/interresting/awsome thing you can do on a vacation? im not talking about sightseeing here, disneyworld or stuff from the lonely planet guide - more like "drive a racecar", "cross the alps on a bike" ... stuff like that. any ideas, or urls where you could find agencies who offer such kind of things (even if it might be pretty expensive)?

commie, it sounds like you're talking about something like The Bucket List? One of the most thrilling things I did on vacation was Paragliding in the Swiss Alps (just outside Interlaken, in the town of Murren).
I've never had occasion to look for that type of travel, but you might do a Google search of "adventure travel" or something similar. That will give you a place to start.
Good luck!

There are the usual things, like paragliding, rafting, bungeejumping, canyoning, diving. jumping out of a plane (with a parachute of course) etc.
Mountaineering could be a choice. There a guided tours to several summits in the Alps, that can be taken by tourists (equipement can be rented), but you need to be really fit to undertake a tour like that. Climbing a vulcano could be a better option for (s)he who don't want to cross icefields, and snow. There are tours on the Island of Stromboli in Italy, to the summit of the volcano (the most active one in Europe?)
If you want to make an effort in climbing a mountain with a bike (a bicycle, not the Harley or Yamaha-version), the Mnt. Ventoux is one of the legendary climbs. If you don't like climbing, there is a route you can take cycling along the Danube from Passau to Vienna. (takes 4-7 days, depending on where you book).
If walking is something for you, you can make an effort on the Pilgrimtrail that goes to Santiago de Compostela in the Northern Spain.

thanks for your replies; i found a few things so far and put it on my adventure map sometimes people have some great suggestions, but nobody can tell you some company who would organize it - like the angel falls base jump in venezulea. you find some tours to this place and some blogs or pictures from people who did it - but i just coudnt find a company that hires out the equipment and does the tour :/ have to add some more stuff as soon as i find it.
