I thought I would just let everyone know that I leave for my 3 week adventure on wednesday. I am so excited to see everything!!! I thought maybe I could get some last minute tips on London, Paris, and Rome. Anything I should definitely know before I go. Anything out of the ordinary I may have not found in my guidebooks??? Thanks for all the help!

Bret, it's great to hear that your much anticipated trip will be starting soon. I imagine you're "a bundle of nerves"!
I'm not sure what "last minute tips" I could offer, as I can't recall which Guidebooks you're using, and what information you might have so far. However, a few things that come to mind:
> Be sure to wear your Money Belt - watch out for petty thieves!
> Try to "pace yourselves" - don't wear yourselves out trying to do too much sightseeing each day.
> Anticipate the unexpected - minor problems often occur (good planning helps to minimize these).
> Finally, to quote a well know travel writer, "if something's not to your liking, change your liking"!
Happy travels!

Enjoy yourself!!! Sometimes you have put so much into planning a trip you forget to relax.
If something seems to good to be true it probably is. Watch out for scams and con artists if you are in any doubt - walk away.
I hope you have a great time :-)

To add to Eagle and crystal's excellent tips: Take the time to sit and watch the world go by at least once in every city you visit - it's amazing what you can see and appreciate!
Have a great trip and make sure you let us know about your travels when you get back.

Thanks for all the tips. I'm actually not that nervous at all, I guess months of planning will do that to you. Hopefully everything will go according to plan, one quick question...How do you get from Rome to the airport? We are taking the train in but flying out of their. Thanks.

Bret, I'm assuming you're referring to Fiumicino (Rome) Airport. The easiest method would be the Leonardo Express which runs from Termini station to the Airport. As I recall, the cost is €11 per person. It would be a good idea to make note of the Bus information that herrbert provided, in case of any "disruptions" with the trains (according to the Italian news today, there's some kind of labor dispute happening at the moment).
Cheers!
