Ok so i've decided to travel Eastern Europe for a month .
the plan so far is to
Fly from England to Warsaw
then trains for the rest of the travel in the following order:
Krakow Zakopane Bratislava Budapest Zagreb Ljubljana Vienna Prague
Then a plane back home to England.
Does this sound like an ok route?
and do you have any suggestions of how many days to spend in each city?
thank you. x

The only connection I was unsure about was the connection between Zakopane and Bratislava. There is a nighttrain, but that would mean returning to Krakow. But that still looks a lot better than the train that goes via Katowice (which makes 3 or 4 stops, one leaving you outside from 3.30 till 5.11 in the night. It is still and 11+ hour trip, but at least you can get some rest/sleep.
Bratislava is really close to Vienna, so most people combine these cities, or making Bratislava a daytrip from Vienna. For you this would mean taking a train from Zakopane to Budapest, which is an even longer trip.
As for the number of days, I can only help you with a couple of these. Krakow: 3 days (incl. daytrip to Auschwitz) Bratislava: 1-2 days Vienna: 4 days Prague: 3 days
I haven't heard the best of stories about Warsaw to be honest, and I don't believe there will be a lot to see in Ljubljana (I guess that's why most people prefer Bled when they travel to Slovenia.)
In general: Zakopane is a bit out of the way, because for the train connections you need to get back to Krakow.
