Need help with my itenary please....

Hi,
I am 37 yrs and on a shoe string budget. I have to attened a programme in Spain for about 9 days and plan to vist a few parts of France and Italy. Need your help to iron out any chinks in the itenary prepared by me.

Following is my tentative iteniary :

27th September 08 : from Barcellona to Nice (france) by night train (if there is a night train, i could not locate one on the net as yet.)

28th sept : Go to Monaco and return to Nice for a night stay.

29th Sept : Sightseeing in Nice
Take the evening train to Venice via Milan.

30th Sept : Reach Venice morning around 8.30 a.m.
Sightseeing in Venice. Stay the night.

1 st Oct : Leave for Florence.
Afternoon leave for Pisa
Evening leave for Rome.
Night stay in Rome.

2nd Oct : Sightseeing in Rome.
Night stay.

3rd Oct : Sightseeing in Vatican city.
Take the evening flight out

Queries :

1.) Can you please let me know how i could plan a night journey from Barcellona to Nice.

2.) Cost of travel from Nice to Monaco and back, and mode of transportation available

2.) If my travel plans for the 1st of October are ok and how i cld go frm Florence to pisa ?

3.) Are two nights enough for Rome.

4.) I guess i will have to take the 3 country 5 day rail pass.

Please let me know of any other suggestions you may have.

To be honest I would take a flight between Barcelona and Rome, and spend my days in both cities. Two nights means just one whole day in Rome, which is really too short.
