Hi,
I need some advice please. I have my itinerary mapped out which includes cities I will be staying in, travel time, length of stay etc. I just wondered do you think it is best to book everything before I go or leave it open? I have booked my accommodation and travel for the first four cities. The main reason for doing this is I will be attending the last weekend of the Oktoberfest and this is the third city I will be visiting, so I thought I had better have everything mapped out.
I also have booked two other night trains as it says you have to book well in advance. I figured if I had everything mapped out then maybe I should just book it then I don't have the hassle of having to do it when I'm there but then I don't have as much freedom either.

Honestly, you'll be a lot less stressed if book most things (especially rooms) ahead of time. Train tickets should be okay buying on the day of travel although in certain countries, it's much cheaper to buy it in advance, especially if you're on a tight budget. Just make sure you have room for flexibility if something does come up.
