Here is what I have so far: I"m looking for recommendations
Fly out of Halifax on the 29th of April, arrive in London on the 30th.
May 1-2 : Two full days in London May 3 - : Take chunnel from London to Brugge. Not sure how long i'll stay in 'Brugge as I can't seem to find a decent hostel. Everyone I've read about has lousy, horrible reviews. Maybe B&B it here?
BIG BLANK spot: would like to find a nice, small town with a good hostel to recoup and explore some of the country.
May 11th - Arrive in Amsterdam May 15th - leave for Bremen, Germany to stay with a friend and explore the northern parts of the country. Luebeck and Luneburg are two places I want to check out. May 20th - leave for Berlin late at night, staying with friends family May 21-23, explore Berlin with a native! May 24 - fly home early morning

Libby, for some of the blank spot, how about Antwerp? This is a very nice little city. I'm not sure about the hostel possibilities, I have to admit. I think another poster (jack?) suggested den Haag on another thread, which is a very nice place too.

I've looked into The Hague and it looks very promising. Nice city, things to do and a good hostel. I have a feeling this might be my choice...but I"m leaving it a bit up in the air right now. What I really wanted was to see some of the battlefields, etc but I can't get to them

Libby, I've made some notes for you in another Post in The Living Room section - have a look and see if these help you to get from Brugge to Ypres for the WWI Battlefields.
Bremen is great (but I'm biased) and the Luneburger Heide should be coming into bloom then too. If not, it's still a gorgeous part of the region. And Berlin is just an amazing city (again, I'm biased!) so enjoy being shown around by a local - and make sure you get a good Currywurst, they'll know where!
