So I got to Heidelberg at lunch on Saturday. I waited for Britta, the girl I am staying with, to arrive at the station because she was arriving from London. We took the bus back to her house and I met all her roommates, they are all very nice! We hung around a little, chit chatting and then Britta and I went to the city center for a walk.
We went to the Old Bridge, really nice and good view of the beautiful castle! We went for a hot chocolate and biked back home. Oh ya, the bikes! Germans have a tendancy to put their seats up really high and it totally unbalanced me! Also, even with the fat of my butt cheaks, it didnt seem to absorb the chock, my bum reallly hurt!
Once we got back we had supper and Patrick, Brittas roomate, made a traditional drink from Heidelberg. Its hot wine with types of tea in it. Then you take a pyramid of sugar over the wine and poor hot rum on it and light it on fire. Its really beautiful and cool! We also made pumpkin seeds, it felt good considering it was my thanksgiving away from home! We played Scattegories and went to bed.
