thought this website was about travel. If you like music, keep an eye out for these weekly or monthly magazines. Almost all cities have these. Here you will find listings of gigs, and obviously in summer festivals. It is very common to have free music festivals during summer.

In every major city you will find some free magazines. I know for sure Berlin has one, as I used it myself, but I can't find the name. If you ask at the reception of the hostel/hotel, they can probably tell you where to get them and how they are called. (If them don't have them theirselves.)
There should also be agenda's on the web, with listings of concerts (free or not.)

Looking to buy a 65l backpack at the weekend for my travels. Do you think that will be enough? Also what sort of stuff should I pack? I know there are forums for this stuff but thought I'd just keep my stuff in this topic rather than open a new thread elsewhere.
cheers in advance,
Spud

If excitement is kicking in already, I wonder how you'll feel a few days before the trip. Maybe you just want to see a doctor, to make sure you don't have a heart condition. Livingston: perfect name for a traveller.

Hi guys, been busy the last few months with exams and haven't been able to contribute to the forum. Less than a month til I leave for the continent and I cannot wait, visited Edinburgh on Friday and have written a bit about the day-trip in my blog.

I've been back from my trip for nearly 2 weeks now. It was a great experience, and I would just like to thank all the people on this messageboard who helped me with there advice. I wrote a regular blog while I was away which is in my signature if anyone wants to read it.
