I have been reading back the old threads to find out some information regarding hostels etc. Im just going to the post the cities im planning on visiting and inviting everyone to recommend places they have been before or have heard good things about. i am looking for the cheapest of places in the cities, so long as they are easy access to the attractions.

spud, here's a link to a Post about some hostels for a few of your destinations pretravel.proboards1.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=nontravel&thread=7591&page=2 otherwise in this Accommodation thread there are buckets of recommendations for most of the cities you've listed, just have a scroll through (again) for ideas and first-hand recommendations.

Just a query, didn't realise you were planning to stay in Dover - is that just for one night and to visit the Castle, or are you planning to stop there on both the way over and back to Glasgow? The reason I ask is that herrbert made a point about perhaps flying one of these legs (at the beginning I think) in your other Post so that may be worth considering if you only plan to do the ferry ride, see the Cliffs and the Castle.

Meeting a friend on the way down to Dover and might possibly stay with a relative in London for a few days before travelling down there. Will only be staying in Dover one night before getting the ferry. Have been in Dover several times but have never managed to see the castle, so that might be an idea if i have the time.
