Hello! If you don't remember me, my name is Amber and I leave for my 55-day trip to Europe on March 5th this year. I am trying to plot out my itinerary more finely now that the trip is just over a month away! And, I have a little question/request for shared experiences. In order to make my railpass work best for me, I may supplement a rail day with a bus day in Spain. I have heard rumor that the best connection for a bus trip is from Sevilla to Granada. Has anyone used the bus for this route? Anyone used the train? Which is faster/better/more reliable? Thank you!

Amber, yes, of course we remember you.
herrbert would probably be the best one to answer your question, so hopefully he'll see this post.
Only a month to go. I'll bet you're getting anxious to depart! Be sure to give us a report of your trip when you get back.
Happy travels!

I'm actually thinking about setting up a travel blog. I think this is the easiest way to stay in touch with friends and family. Please check out my updated itinerary. I think I've worked all the kinks out! AHHH!!! Very excited.

I used the train, but the other way (from Granada to Sevilla.) it takes three hours, and is therefor only a little bit quicker than the bus. You can use either of the two stations in Sevilla (Santa Justa and San Bernardo.) There are 4 trains leaving a day so the choice is somewhat limited, but the one that leaves around 11.50 would be a good one, as you have time for a breakfast, time to get to the station, and also still a little time for exploring Granada in the afternoon. If you go to the trainstation of Santa Justa, don't get fooled by the queue of people waiting to be called by number, as these are people with special wishes, usualy a lot of them. You can get in line for a regional ticket, which shouldn't take so long. I prefer trains, but the bus to Granada will take just as long. you can check on www.alsa.es for timetables of trains.
