Although Ryanair does love to do such things, I have a feeling that in this case, Michael O'Leary was just saying something stupid for publicity. Health and safety rules won't allow this, is my guess.

They have now retracked this and said it is not going to happen in the NEAR future.
I wondered about the health and safety implications too and didn't think this would be allowed.

They really aren't doing a good job encouraging me to fly with them again! Seems it is all about PR, as WT said - but sometimes all attention isn't necessarily good attention. Anyway, who do they think they are charging ridiculous rates for toilet use...Venice?!

The marketing people at Ryanair have been busy spinning gold from the previous comment by their CEO. They launched the survey just before Easter and there are only a few days left, but you can offer your own suggestions to Ryanair with regard to additional charges. www.ryanair.com/site/FR/news.php?yr=09&month=apr&story=gen-en-080409The top five suggestions are interesting - particularly #1!!! But I still can't believe #4. Clearly Marketing only wanted to give us a few choices, lest we think for ourselves!
