Geneva!

My fiance already booked a trip to Geneva during our trip through Europe in May, but I can't find any accommodations! All of the hostels are booked on May 6th, and the hotels that affordable for us are at least 5 km away from Geneva's center. Any help or suggestions? Geneva is awfully pricey. We might resort to staying there for just a day and then taking an overnight train to Paris.

atlasshrugs, welcome to the Boards! I have a comments regarding your "dilemma".... It would help to know which Hostels you've checked so far? Geneva is a large city, so I'd be surprised if you can't find any accommodations. If you haven't already checked, a few websites that you might have a look at are www.hostelworld.com or www.hihostels.com/dba/list.php?lang=E. You may find that you'll need to be a bit "flexible" and perhaps look at budget Hotels also (Google "budget Hotels" or check a few Guidebooks). You may want to speak with a Travel Agent if you can't find anything on the two sites listed above. Good luck and happy travels!
