Hi All,
So this is my itinerary as of now: (each line represents a separate trip)
Zurich Airport - Interlaken - Lauterbrunnen - Gimmelwald
Gimmelwald - Lauterbrunnen - Interlaken - La Spezia
La Spezia - Siena
Siena - Florence
Florence - Milan
Milan - Mykannos
Mykannos - Another Cyclade island
End at Santorini
Railsaver doesn't help me too much with transportation between the Cyclade islands. I'm guessing a eurailpass doesn't work with ferries...
As of now my plan is to buy a eurorail pass that allows travel for switzerland and italy. I found a flight from Milan to Mykannos for $200, and then for the greek islands themselves I was planning to use the ferry.
Anybody know if this is the most efficient method?

For the Greek Island section of your trip, you could ferry from Athens to Mykonos and use the ferry for the other islands, then fly back from Santorini to Athens (then on to your final destination).
Rail passes do work on some ferries in Greece (eg Patras to Venice, etc) but not between the islands, so you'll have to purchase individual tickets for travel on each ferry as you require.
Have you tried Rail Europe? I ask because if you use the link from the Homepage of GFE, this will help keep this site alive and running and question-answering.
The Siena-Florence section (incidentally, would likely have gone La Spezia-Florence, Florence-Siena, Siena-Milan, but no matter as you can take the Eurostar Italia fast train on the Florence-Milan sector either way) might be better/easier by bus rather than train, depending on where your accommodation is located.
Well done on the flight from Milan to Mykonos - if you have to change in Athens, it's not hard.
