I booked a twin room months ago at the St. Paul's Hostel in London and at the time, I'm pretty sure, they included breakfast. Now, the website say Breakfast is not included.
Does anyone know the policy of the hostel? Will they honour my reservation for breakfast? I double checked and it doesn't appear anywhere on the confirmation (but then again, it doesn't appear on my ones for Maastricht or Brugges either)
Any idea?

Libby,
I've never stayed at that particular Hostel, so can't offer any first-hand experience. I wasn't able to find any reference to "breakfast" on their website, although they did state that "no self catering available". They appear to provide a restaurant, so it's possible that breakfasts are provided at a small charge (which as I recall was the case in the Hostel in Belfast also).
Often the "chain Hostels" such as HI / YHA provide breakfast in the cost of the room, but this is not always the case (sometimes a small charge). The food is usually good.
Under the circumstances, I'd send them an E-mail so that you have clear and accurate information (therefore, no "surprises" when you arrive).
Happy travels!

I contacted the hotel and asked what was up; why there were so many conflicting messages about breakfast being included or not. They have changed their policy to give those making the reservations the option of breakfast for an additional 4 gps on top of the price for their bed. Thankfully, I had booked before the change happened and our breakfast is already included in the price.
25 GPS each, for a twin room, B&B in London is pretty good.

Libby,
That's good to hear! I suppose the change is a result of the current economic climate, and many businesses (including Hostels) will be cutting back on "frills". Refresh my memory, when are you going?
I sure wish I was heading back to London this year, as it's a fantastic place and there are so many things I have yet to see. However, I'll be heading for "the continent" again this year (will post the details soon) at the end of May. I'll have to plan a return visit to London on a future trip.
Hope you have a wonderful time in London!
