I am planning on traveling to Europe (4-6 countries) from September to November. What size pack would be sufficient? I currently have a kelty illusion 3500. Approx 57 litres. Would this be big enough or should I invest in a new pack? If a new one, does anyone have recommendations? I kno wlaundry will need to be done so my thought was my current pack would be big enough, but Im not sure.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

IMO that would be PLENTY. (I don't know how people do big backpacks!)
I have a 45L and already brought all my stuff I wanted to take from Australia to England (winter clothes too mind you!), and I plan to travel with it for 3 months in the summer, hopefully only half full!

davidhsamson3, IMHO your present pack should be more than adequate, even for a trip of that duration (assuming it's in good condition). I try to follow the principle of "packing the same for three months as for three weeks".
Plan to do laundry on a regular basis. Most Hostels and Hotels will know of a laundry facility in the vicinity, and other travellers are also a good source of information. I also find that it helps to use "travel friendly" clothing (items that can be washed in a Hotel room sink).
Since your main Pack will have to be checked during air travel, I'm assuming you also have a Daypack or other bag that can be used for carry-on?
Happy travels!
