With 8 days to go, I've finally managed to set out a packing list. However, it's always the same; I can't shake off the feeling that I've forgotten something. Comments would be appreciated! Clothes: 7 tshirts 1 or 2 longsleeve tshirts 1 jumper/hoody 1 pair jeans 1 pair other trousers 2 or 3 pairs shorts Boxers/socks Raincoat Toiletries: Toothbrush/paste Deodorant Soap/face wipes Shampoo/body wash Detergent/travel wash Sun lotion Miscellaneous: Backpack/daypack Guidebook Security locks/Pacsafe chain Sleepsack Journal/pen Camera, phone, mp3 Moneybelt Clothes line Small sewing kit First aid kit Inflatable neck pillow Socket adapter Book Cards Pac-it cubes, compression sacs Address list Itinerary Plus all relevant documents, tickets, passport etc Is there anything really unnecessary here? Thanks for your comments!

What's in your first aid kit? I always travel with a well stocked one and its the one thing i've needed on every bloody trip I took! Bloody is literal in this case.

I believe it goes: Assorted plasters Antiseptic wipes Small bandage Saftey pins Insect bite cream Scissors, nail clippers A little too much I guess but you can never be too careful

no, not all that much at all. I also keep a needle for splinters and blisters and some cushion stuff (like moleskin) for when I get blisters or pressure points.

It depends on where you are going to stay. A lot of places don't allow are sleeping bag. (to prevent bedbugs from spreading.) I also had an inflattable neck pillow, but in fact haven't found much use for it.
If you want to loose a bit of weight, just make copies of the relevant pages of the guidebook(s). And the one thing that's not on your list, and I always pack first are earplugs. (can't sleep in a hostel or noisy hotel without them.)
