Right now I am flying on an American Airlines plane from Chicago to San Diego. Finally going home after 101 days of backpacking across Europe. I managed to visit 15 countries, if you count Vatican City, and saw things I never thought I would have.
One of my favorite countries was Berlin. So much history, famous monuments, and a great guide (Terry Brewer). If you are looking for peace and quite, then Gimmelwald was perfect for that.
I would like to thank everyone for their input in making this trip run so smoothly. With your help, I feel that I planned the perfect number of days in most cities and had great suggestions on places I should visit. Because I was so organized, I saved money by reserving hostels far in advance and never not having a place to stay. Once again, thank you!

Excellent - I'm glad you got to meet Terry Brewer, and I'm glad you had a great trip.
Please provide an update on Terry. Kim (founder of this board) also took a tour with him in 1998, I believe. Mine was in 2004.

Terry's tour was great! It started at 10:30 and we finished 10.5 hours later at 9. Terry said that of all the tours he had given, ours was the longest yet. We visited the Deutscher Dom and each received a free book that normally sells for about 8 Euros. The only problem was having to carry it around with me for several months. At a few hostels I even found a couple copies that people left. If anyone is going to Berlin and hasn't taken his tour, I highly recommend it.

Thanks, Mikul. I thought he might slow down with age, but clearly that hasn't happened .
