I see that the route and trip showed on this site is based on a 7 month trip, which i actually wanted to base my trip on. But no matter where i look, i can't find a rail pass thats more than 3 months.. yet her trip was 7. Am i missing something?
I'm going travelling around june and am hoping to travel for 5+ months but not sure how to go about the rail passes.

I think Kim, the owner of this site, bought multiple rail passes for that trip. Note that since Kim's trip in 1998, airfares have gone down in general and rail passes have gone up, so often a plane is cheaper than a train. That doesn't mean you shouldn't get a rail pass, but be sure to carefully compare costs, timing, and options.
