European budget airlines can be a great way to travel cheaply. EasyJet is one airline I have used successfully. There are a number of others also. The best one will depend on your route and specific prices. See also www.skyscanner.net and www.whichbudget.com .

aggie10,
EasyJet is one of the better Euro budget airlines (IMHO). They don't seem quite as fanatical about nicking passengers for extra charges as one of their competitors, RyanAir (which is currently considering charging passengers €1 to use the washroom during flights to nick them for yet another charge).
One nice advantage of EasyJet is that they often use "regular" airports not too far from the city centres, unlike RyanAir that uses some airports that are a considerable distance from the cities (one good example is Beauvais, which is a LONG way from Paris). While they might offer cheap prices, passengers still have to budget the time and cost to get from remote airports into the cities.
I'll probably be booking some flights with EasyJet shortly for my trip this year.
Happy travels!

I think Easyjet is just as bad/good as Ryanair. Be careful for the extra charges for suitcases, extra weight, priority boarding etc. I also have the impression that Easyjet is not always the cheapest option, and regular airlines can offer competitive prices.
But if you find cheap tickets, just use them. As is the case for all these companies, they will bring you from A to B.
