Hi all,
I'm 23 years old girl planning my first one month full backpacking trip (mid May to midJune). I'll be flying out of Jakarta to Bellefield and meet my friend there, we're gonna use Eurail (Global Pass for Youth). We've been sorting out route and list of the cities, would be very nice to hear your inputs, mostly for joining cities between Paris to Madrid, Barcelona to Milan, and Athens to Vienna. Thanks a bunch!
Bellefield to Cologne (watch Broken Social Scene): 1 night in Cologne
Cologne to Amsterdam 1 hr. 47 minutes: 1 night in Amsterdam
Amsterdam to Brussels 1 hr. 53 minutes: 1 night in Brussel
Brussel to Paris 1 hr. 25 minutes: 3 nights in Paris
Paris to Madrid (We're thinking to have Eurail night trip to spend on board because it's a 14 hours trip but we'd like to know if this s a good idea and where should we stop in for transit)
Paris to Madrid: 2 nights in Madrid
Madrid to Barcelona 2 hrs. 50 minutes: 3 nights in Barcelona
Barcelona to Milan (we might as well have night on board but this one too, we don't know where to transit. What about Montpellier-Marseilles-Milan?)
Milan to Venice 3 hrs. minutes: 1 night in Venice
Venice to Florence 2 hrs. 45 minutes: 2 nights in Florence
Florence to Rome 1 hrs. 35 minutes: 1 night in Rome
Rome to Athens by ferry: 4 nights in Greece (inc. islands, Floregandros or Mykonos, which one's better?)
Athens to Vienna via Thessalonki, Sofia, Bucharest, Vienna (We were thinking of the best way to get to Prague after Athens, not necessarily have to strecth out to Romania but I think we need suggestion on what route should we have, as well for the cities we should stop by cos with this route I think we might have to stay in Bucharest for one night)
Vienna to Prague: 1 night in Vienna, 3 nights in Prague
Prague to Bellefield
Cities we must go:
Amsterdam, Paris (Louvre), Brussel (Church of Spilled Blood), Barcelona (Gaudi House), Florence (Renaissance masterpieces), Rome, Venice, Madrid, Athens, Vienna, Prague: Old Town Square, (Sedlec Ossuary).
If we have time:
Charleville, Bordeaux, Marseilles, Montpellier, Folegandros, Mykonos, Santorini, Cordoba, Warsaw, Budapest, Bucharest, Copenhagen.
Thanks again for reading!
