1 Month trip

So my friend and I are planning a trip to backpack through europe. We are really new to this so we dont know much. What we know so far is we are starting in england, aside from that we do not know much about anything or where to go. We want to visit the obvious places(Paris, Venice, Rome) but we are pretty clueless aside from that. Can anyone give any advice on some Cool places to go.
