I posted a few months back about my tour, but this has considerably changed to accomodate time & money issues - thanks to everyone who helped out though Basically were going to start in the UK, fly to france (cheaper than eurostar) and bomb through most of western europe, and a considerable amount of eastern europe over the period. I think i can gather around £5000 for this trip maximum - is this gonna be possible? We'll be interrailing which is going to be a bomb £1000/1200eu for the 3 months which unfortunately must be included in my total Its going to be an ultimate penny-pinching backpacking tour - that is cheapest food (we will live on bread and pot-noodles )cheap hostels, but with enough left to experience a full range that Europe has to offer. My friend just came back from 2 weeks tour and only spent £500 so im not sure if it could be possible for longer periods Will be spending a week in: Germany, France, Italy and Greece each. Will be extensively touring most of Scandinavia too - unfortunately most of these places are the most expensive places in Europe, but we will be budgeting like mad. Also, would it be possible to travel to Moscow and St. Petersburg through interrailing? Its a must if we physically can do it. Thanks for the future help! Any recommendations or critiques would be appreciated (Equipment such as camera, netbook, backpack etc has been bought) - We will be laeving 1st May next year.

scotty,
It sounds like you're getting your travel plans nicely sorted. I don't have too many comments at the moment, except for your plans to visit Moscow and St. Petersburg. Travel there is going to be somewhat more complicated, as you'll probably need a Visa (depending on your nationality). Obtaining a Visa will involve bureaucracy and of course money. In addition, travel there will be very expensive (Moscow is one of the most expensive cities on earth!) and of course the language is a bit more difficult to deal with than most other countries in Europe.
Hopefully the others will have some suggestions also.
Cheers!
