Hello,
I am only assuming this, but i was wondering if there is a 'best' destination to fly to from canada? I do know some airports are less expensive to fly to.
Wondering what your experiences are.

jesset,
Welcome to GFE!
I've found that the best bets for airports in Europe are the larger "hub" airports such as Frankfurt. As there are more flights offered, the prices are usually more favourable. Depending on where you're starting in Europe, there's usually a good selection of flights available to U.K. destinations.
If you could provide a bit more information on where in Canada you're departing from and where you want to go in Europe, it would help to offer more specific information.
Cheers!

Hey,
I am probably departing from edmonton, but i haven't decided if i am taking a road trip to vancouver or not before i go to europe.
as far as where i want to go, i really want to spend some time in france. check out some world war sites.
but that will only take up a bit of my time, so really i am up for going anywhere!

jesset,
You'll probably find a greater availability of flights from Vancouver, but that may depend on the time of year. One other option to consider is flights from Calgary, which has been my preferred routing lately (easy connections to Kelowna). For my trip this year, my flights departed from Calgary to Frankfurt (connection to Rome) and the return was from Frankfurt to Calgary (flight time was about 9-hours as I recall).
If you could provide further details on which "world war sites" you're interested in visiting, I may be able to provide further information (that's one of my interests also). There are lots of sites all over Europe, and not just in France.
Cheers!
